Three capacitors were blown. Don't know if I mentioned that before. I'm not sure about why they did anything to the GFX card fan.

I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that everything goes smoothly and the machine makes it back in time. On the plus side, the rec room can finally really vacuum and clean under the machine.

| Blown caps aren't going to affect performance. If anything, they'd cause resets and freezes, and I don't think we've had any of that.

Hey, so ITG is up and running again. Haven't gotten a chance to talk with the Rec Room about exactly what they did this time, but it's working fine.
Pads need a little work, but I'll get to that this weekend sometime.

Great news
I take it the HDD was unaffected so there's nothing you need to add/update before the tourney (except super secret stuff lol)?

Pads need some work. I think you should try and go through and disconnect (or remove) the hyper-sensitive sensors. I know many of the remaining ones are under sensitive. Perhaps try foam modding them to bring up their sensitivity and reduce recession?

Sweet lord, why didn't I remember that... foam modding the pads is something to consider. They should be thin enough though that you can leave a fair amount of the screws in there to avoid loose panels (this is where Sal screwed the heck up...)

They were fine the day before the tournament. T_T
I have foam already. I need to get some double-sided tape...I'll work on it when I have the chance.

I always have bulk quantities of double-sided tape for cosplay purposes if you want some. Lol. Foamies and double-sided tape, lol.

The only issue with foam modding is that, if you apply it to sensors that are already too sensitive, you'll have even more issues. It really only works well with under/normal sensitive ones. And if you feel like you want to increase sensitivity only slightly more after applying the foam to the L-Bracket, you can layer duct tape on top. That's what Mad Matt does to his pads to make them really sensitive for fast stuff. I did this to Racine too and the pads are very solid.

Bring the tape with you next time you swing by and I'll get my lazy ass working on this.

Okay, I will pack some double-sided tape with me. I have all sorts of colors of duct tape too if you want some of that too.

Copied from the AitF thread:
"Also, like we talked about but I'll just post it here so Ken and Margot know: you guys can earmark the question of new sensors for ITG onto the Pump Pro discussion "
It's true that the way some players played may have contributed to problems at the tourney, but just wondering what the status is on all the sensors. Are there still some originals? I think marty had them replaced when he was still a student, but with their varying ages, and condition, when you get the time (or if you know already) maybe it's time to ask Melody to swap out some of those entirely "defective" sensors.
Like Brandon said, part of the initial problem may be in the transportation and storage of new sensors, so when they come out "new" they are already faulty. Something to let Melody know so their investment in the sensors is not a waste
